Challenged by the Memoir Writing Class I teach at Windsor Point Retirement Community, I demonstrated by completing my memoir
about growing up as a PK (preacher’s kid) in Las Cruces, New Mexico during the Great Depression and World War II. It is the story of a devoted family in hectic times and of a young couple teaching their children Christian principles by example. The book features four young friends growing up together and getting into all kinds of adventures. They are saved, more times than they care to remember, by a neighborhood friend, who, limited in many ways, is not lacking in incredible courage.
